Commitment begins with the best of intentions. That’s what I thought as I sat across the yuppie couple in their early thirties, silence hanging between them for the reflective moment. She tapped her fingers along her bottom lip, while he massaged the bridge of his nose. They were close to a breakthrough. I could feel it. Ten seconds later and still nothing. It was like the two were playing a game of honesty chicken, each hoping the other would speak first.
